General
The AI Suite extends the TYPO3 backend with powerful features based on artificial intelligence. This automates, simplifies, and accelerates processes. The AI Suite enables, among other things, the generation of content elements, the automatic creation of metadata, the editing and rephrasing of existing texts, high-quality translations, and the creation of AI-generated images.
With just one credit, you can accomplish a variety of tasks. Here are a few concrete examples of what you can achieve with 1000 credits:
- 1,000 metadata (e.g., alt tags) generated → each metadata entry (e.g., alt tag) = 1 credit
- Translations with OpenAI: 2,500 tokens (~ 1500 - 2000 words) = 1 credit
- Translations with DeepL: approx. 500 characters (~ 100 - 200 words) = 1 credit
- 250 images with Midjourney → 1 Midjourney image = 4 credits
- 1,000 accordion elements with inline content (text only), e.g., FAQs or info tabs → 1 element = 1 credit
- 200 text-image elements (text + Midjourney image) → 1 credit (text) + 4 credits (image) = 5 credits per element
- 1000 text modifications within RTE fields using the integrated CKEditor plugin → 1 modification = 1 credit
Yes, the AI Suite was developed with a strong focus on data protection and GDPR compliance. The AI Suite offers AI models that are hosted in Germany and therefore do not need to access services from non-European AI models. Additionally, there is the possibility to connect your own models through a SaaS solution.
The AI Suite is much more than just a wrapper for existing AI models that simply passes on prompts and responses. Instead, all requests are sent to our AutoDudes server, where they are specifically prepared, checked, and validated for TYPO3. This ensures that the generated content is optimally tailored to TYPO3 and meets the highest quality and security standards.
Additionally, the AI Suite offers many advanced features that have been specifically developed for the needs of TYPO3 users. Naturally, such a solution incurs ongoing costs. These include:
- (Further) development and updating of the AI Suite to provide new features and optimize existing ones.
- Security updates to keep the extension up to date.
- Server operation and maintenance to ensure reliable and fast processing of requests.
- Customer support to provide users with an optimal experience.
- API costs, as access to high-quality AI models like OpenAI, Midjourney, or DeepL also incurs fees.
With the flexible pricing model, users can decide how many credits they need, allowing costs to be individually tailored to their usage.
The AI Suite offers broad support for leading AI models and APIs. This includes, among others, OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepL, Midjourney, as well as the GDPR-compliant models Llama-3.3 (70B Instruct) from IONOS and the Mistral model from Mittwald. Additionally, we offer various Inferno (SaaS) solutions that allow the use of your own models.
Yes, we offer a free public demo version that allows you to test the features of the AI Suite without obligation. There are no hidden costs, and no license is required for this. For further and more intensive insights and training, you can access our Kickstart and two additional workshops.
Yes, the AI Suite offers various usage options to meet different requirements.
• Packs (Pay-as-you-go): With the credit packs, you can purchase credits flexibly and without a contract. Here you can find all pack variants.
• Plans (monthly/annual plans): For regular use, various subscription models are available. Here you can find all plan variants.
• Inferno (Enterprise solutions): For companies with specific requirements, we offer various SaaS solutions of the AI Suite with individual extensions. Here you can find all Inferno variants.
You can purchase your API keys for the AI Suite directly in the shop and manage them in the internal area. After successful ordering and payment, the key will be sent via email and must be entered in the AI Suite. Additionally, the TYPO3 backend provides an overview of the consumed credits, so you can always track how many resources have already been used.
After purchasing a new or additional credit pack, the credits are automatically transmitted to the AutoDudes server. As soon as you open the AI Suite backend module, the new credits are immediately updated in your TYPO3 installation and are available for use.
If an error occurs during generation, you will typically receive a detailed error message with a specific error code. This allows for quick analysis and problem-solving. Additionally, no credits are deducted for faulty requests, so you do not lose resources due to technical errors.
The installation of the AI Suite is very simple and works just like any other TYPO3 extension. You can install it either via Composer or directly through the TYPO3 Extension Repository (TER).
After installation, you only need to enter the API key in the extension settings, and you can get started!
For even more efficient use, you can also make individual settings to adapt the AI Suite to your specific workflow. This includes the ability to register your own prompt templates to further automate and optimize recurring tasks.
Currently, the AI Suite is compatible with TYPO3 versions 12, 13, and 14.
We are continuously working to further develop the extension, regularly update it, and adapt it to future TYPO3 versions. This ensures that the AI Suite remains compatible with the latest TYPO3 features and security updates.

The AI-supported functions can no longer be executed until there is a balance again. All other TYPO3 functions and your already generated content remain unaffected. You can recharge either through a one-time pack or by switching to a larger plan, see pricing.
Yes. The license is domain-bound, but you can register multiple domains, up to eleven for plans and packs. The details for input and wildcards are in the FAQ section Ordering and Licenses.
Ordering and Licenses
There are four ways. A Plan provides a fixed credit quota monthly or annually and is suitable for regular work. A Pack is a one-time recharge without a subscription and is suitable for irregular needs. Bring your own keys uses your own API keys at a fixed price, completely without credits. Inferno is the SaaS variant with its own credit pool and, if desired, under your brand, completely operated by us. You can find all variants with conditions at pricing.
A Plan is a subscription and provides your quota per billing period, monthly or annually. A Pack is a one-time recharge without a subscription and remains usable until it is exhausted. If you pay annually for a plan, you get two months for free. You can switch between plans at any time.
For plans and packs, it is up to eleven domains, so one primary and ten others. The primary domain serves as the standard for future orders and license renewals. Bring your own keys applies only to one domain.
Enter the domain without https://, without www., and without a trailing slash, so for example example.com. A * is possible as a wildcard. Subdomain wildcards like *.example.com do not work; such addresses must be entered individually.
Available are Mollie, PayPal, and purchase on account. Mollie and PayPal cover the common card and direct debit procedures. Purchase on account is primarily aimed at companies and public clients with their own procurement process.
You will receive the API key via email. Additionally, it is available for retrieval in your customer account after logging in under licenses. You can download the extension for free via the TYPO3 Extension Repository or via Composer through Packagist; the key unlocks the use.
Everything is in your customer account. Under orders, you can find your orders and invoices, under licenses your keys, and under subscriptions your active plans.
A plan renews at the chosen interval, either monthly or annually. It is managed in the customer account under subscriptions. A pack does not renew; it is purchased once and recharged as needed. The applicable conditions are in the terms and conditions.
Yes. You can switch between plans at any time, as well as between monthly and annual payments. If the quota is insufficient in a month, you can additionally purchase a pack instead of permanently switching to a larger plan.
With Bring your own keys, you provide your own API keys from the providers and pay us a fixed price instead of credits. The billing for model usage is then done directly through your provider accounts. The model is domain-bound and applies to one domain.
Inferno is the SaaS variant. You get your own credit pool under your brand, operated on German infrastructure, without having to provide infrastructure yourself. Depending on the level, usage statistics, CSV and PDF export, as well as the connection of your own LLMs and endpoints are included. A one-time setup fee applies; the enterprise level is available upon request via partner(at)autodudes.de.
There are three levels from a short remote overview to a full-day hands-on in your own AI Suite. Up to six participants are planned, more on request. The date will be arranged after the order; it is best to provide two to three preferred dates directly when ordering. The two larger workshops include a credit starting balance. Here is an overview of the workshops.
Yes. You can find the data processing agreement in your customer account under DPA Agreement. It can be concluded and retrieved directly there.
The conditions for this are on the page Right of Withdrawal; you can declare the revocation using the linked form or via the revocation button. Special rules apply to digital content, so it is worth checking before ordering. If you have any questions, our team is happy to help.
Functions in Editorial Daily Life
Global instructions are guidelines that are provided with every generation, such as tone, target audience, or brand writing style. This way, you do not have to write the same hints in every prompt. See Global Instructions.
In the prompt manager, you can save recurring prompts as templates so that they are directly available in the selection field. This ensures consistent results within the team. See Prompt Manager and Prompt Templates.
Yes. Through scopes, prompts can be limited to specific areas of use, so that editors only see the templates that are relevant there. See Limiting to Scopes and Predefined Prompts.
Covered are page metadata such as SEO titles and descriptions, OG and Twitter tags, image metadata with alternative text, title and description, both at the content element and in the file list, as well as news metadata from EXT:news. An overview can be found under Generating Metadata.
Content can be generated for both individual content elements and records such as EXT:news. You select the model, optionally a prompt template, and receive a suggestion that you can accept, edit, or discard. Details can be found under Content Elements and Records (EXT:news).
Yes. Existing texts can be rewritten, shortened, lengthened, or simplified linguistically without having to generate them anew. The process is described under Modifying Content.
Images can be generated in three places: in existing content elements and records, directly in the file list, and when creating new content elements. They are stored via FAL, and the target directory can be specified. Information can be found under Generating Images.
Yes. From a description, the AI Suite generates a complete page tree or part of a page tree with titles and structure, which you can review and adjust before saving. Details can be found under Generating Page Structures.
Translations
It can translate individual content elements along with image metadata, entire pages including content and metadata, records, and XLF files from extensions. An overview can be found under Translating Content.
Yes. Instead of going element by element, an entire page can be translated in one go, including page metadata and all content elements. The process is described under Entire Pages.
Yes. You select the extension key, the XLF file, and the target language; the AI Suite takes care of the rest. This is especially useful for site packages and custom extensions. See XLF Files for more information.
In the glossary, you specify how certain terms should be translated, such as product names or fixed technical terms. The glossary is automatically applied during translations and keeps the terminology consistent across all pages. More information can be found under Glossary Function.
Yes. Content can be converted into simple language, which is relevant for barrier-free offerings and public institutions. Details can be found under Simple Language.
Yes. Upon saving a record, a translation can be automatically generated if desired, so that language versions do not need to be maintained afterwards. The setup is described under Automatic Translation on Save.
Batch Processing and Automation
The WorkflowManager is the place for tasks that affect many records at once. You narrow down the selection, let suggestions be generated, and accept them collectively instead of opening each element individually. Detailed information can be found under WorkflowManager.
Covered are page metadata, file metadata, and file reference metadata, the translation of file metadata, as well as page translations. The individual processes are available as subpages under WorkflowManager.
The TaskEngine processes the tasks created in the WorkflowManager. Large quantities run through there collectively instead of blocking the browser, and the results come back as suggestions. See TaskEngine.
Yes. For recurring or very large tasks, there are console commands that can be scheduled via the scheduler or cron. The commands with their options can be found under CLI Commands.
Yes. The statistics show what credits have been spent on, broken down by function and time period. This helps in planning the next quota. More on this under Statistics.
Administration and Operation
The extension is installed via Composer or through the TER; then you enter the license key in the extension configuration and clear the caches. The steps are outlined under Installation.
Part of it lies in the extension configuration, and another part directly in the backend module, such as standard directories, languages, and behavior when translating. See Configuration and Settings in the Backend Module.
Which providers and models for text, image, and translation are available and what they are suitable for is listed under Models & APIs. Which of these your editorial team actually sees also depends on the rights of the backend group.
First, check the logs. What the AI Suite logs and where it is located is detailed under Troubleshooting and Logging. Known cases with workarounds are collected under Known Issues.
Before an update, it is worth taking a look at Important Notes. There are points to consider when operating and switching to new versions.
Through the channel #ai-suite in TYPO3 Slack and through our contact methods. Both can be found under Feedback and Support and Sponsoring. Alternatively, you can also contact us via email at service(at)autodudes.de.
Yes. By default, generated images are stored in the folder "ai-images" within "user_upload" in the TYPO3 file list, and if the folder does not exist, it is created automatically. You can specify a different directory via the extension configuration, see Configuration.
For Agencies, Freelancers, and Project Managers
The AI Suite is ideal for TYPO3 agencies and freelancers as it optimizes and automates numerous workflows. Especially the creation of page structures, image generation, and SEO optimization are greatly simplified by the AI Suite. This not only saves valuable time but also significantly reduces manual effort. Thus, agencies and freelancers can focus on the creative and strategic aspects of their projects instead of having to perform recurring tasks manually.
Yes, the AI Suite offers extensive permission settings that allow you to specify exactly which functions are available for certain user groups.
For example, if you work as an agency or freelancer, you can specifically restrict user rights as an administrator so that editors or customer accesses can only access the functions relevant to them. This is particularly helpful to:
- Avoid unwanted changes or input errors.
- Control access to individual functions.
- Specifically manage certain workflows within the TYPO3 backend.
The permissions can be easily managed via the TYPO3 backend and adapted to individual requirements. More information can be found under Permission Management.
The AI Suite supports the search engine optimization of TYPO3 content in several areas.
- It generates SEO-optimized texts for better visibility in search engines.
- It automatically creates metadata for images, improving image indexing.
- Through WorkflowManager and TaskEngine, metadata can be processed in large numbers.
This allows many pages to be optimized simultaneously without having to adjust each one individually. The processes can be found under Generating Metadata and WorkflowManager.
Yes. The AI Suite generates meaningful alternative texts for images, significantly improving accessibility for people with visual impairments. Additionally, it aids in search engine optimization because images with appropriate alt texts are better captured and indexed. The texts can be generated at the content element, in the file list, and for many files at once, see Image Metadata (Content Element) and Image Metadata (File List).
The AI Suite supports accessibility through AI-supported content optimization, ensuring that texts are well-readable and clearly structured. It assists with alternative texts for images and with accessible summaries, so that all users, regardless of their individual needs, have access to the information. For particularly easy-to-understand versions, there is also the conversion into Simple Language.
Yes. The AI Suite analyzes texts for non-inclusive language and suggests more accessible formulations. Through the RTE plugin, texts can be directly transformed in the editor. How the rewriting of texts works in general is described under Modifying Content.
