NordVPN re-establishes connections after one minute
When using the VPN client NordVPN, your connection is terminated or re-established after one minute for requests. For longer running requests (such as image generation), this means that the response cannot be processed (as it is not available).
Incompatibility with extensions that override the TYPO3 standard translation process
Unfortunately, the AI Suite is not compatible with extensions that override the TYPO3 translation process. This can lead to conflicts and unexpected behavior. Check this before use to avoid side effects. With versions 13.5.0/12.11.0 (11.x: 11.4.0), the option “Disable whole translation functionality (USE WITH CAUTION!)” (disableTranslationFunctionality) was added to the extension settings to deactivate the translation mechanism of the AI Suite.
Problems with special characters in HTTP Basic Auth (fixed)
When using the AI Suite, there can be issues before versions 13.6.0/12.12.1 when querying context information (e.g. when generating metadata) if HTTP Basic Authentication is active and the username or password contains special characters. These characters (e.g. :, @, /, %, $, #) can lead to requests being misinterpreted. For this reason, before these versions both fields must be correctly URL-encoded to avoid problems. In newer versions, the AI Suite passes the credentials as an Authorization header, so special characters no longer cause problems and URL encoding is no longer necessary.
Calling the RTE plugin “AI Suite” under TYPO3 12.4.20 (fixed)
Only affects TYPO3 version 12.4.20. With it, the CKEditor in TYPO3 was updated to version 43.0.0. This CKEditor version contains a bug where the context dialogs (“Contextual Balloon”) are not always called or displayed. Details on the behavior can be found at https://github.com/ckeditor/ckeditor5/issues/16958. The bug is fixed with CKEditor 43.1.0. Update TYPO3 to a newer 12.4 version, and the problem no longer occurs.
Translation of FlexForm Content
The AI Suite also translates content elements based on FlexForm. This is controlled by the setting “Translate FlexForm fields” in the extension configuration, which is active by default.
Since FlexForms can be defined very freely in TYPO3, an individual structure may deviate from the standard processing in individual cases. We continuously extend the support for this based on feedback from projects. If the translation of one of your FlexForm elements does not work as expected, feel free to send us an example. We will then include it in further development.
