Back from Jena
Our recap of the TYPO3 Camp Mitteldeutschland 2025
From March 20 to 22, 2025, the TYPO3 Camp Mitteldeutschland took place in Jena – and we were right in the middle of it. This time not just as participants, but for the first time also as a bronze sponsor. Three days full of exciting sessions and valuable exchanges.
Sponsoring with Heart: AutoDudes as Bronze Sponsor
As long-time TYPO3 enthusiasts, we were pleased to actively support the camp this time. With the AI Suite, we want to bring innovation to the TYPO3 backend and also promote the community that supports the ecosystem. Therefore, it was clear to us: We are participating as a sponsor!
Session 1: Content Blocks Deep Dive
Our first session focused on the Content Blocks. André, who is significantly involved in the development as the team lead of the Content Types Team, presented in an advanced session the technical possibilities and best practices that go beyond the simple creation of content elements. We were excited to see how many developers are already using the Content Blocks.
Session 2: AI in TYPO3 with the AI Suite
In our second session, we presented the current state of the AI Suite and how we integrate AI sensibly into the TYPO3 backend. From automated text and image generation in batch processing to translations and accessible content: The AI Suite comes with numerous functions that we presented live based on real use cases.
Session 3 (spontaneous): Playwright Testing
Due to direct demand and great interest, we quickly held a third session on the topic of automated testing with Playwright. Here too, we focused on real examples based on our experiences.
Accessibility, Community & Co: What Else Excited Us
Of course, we also visited many other exciting contributions and exchanged ideas with participants. We found sessions around the topic of accessibility particularly inspiring – an area that rightly receives a lot of attention at the moment. The topic is highly relevant for us as well, not least because the AI Suite already offers some possibilities here and will provide even more in the future to actively support the implementation of the BFSG in TYPO3.
Besides all the input, it was, as always, nice to see many familiar faces again and to make new contacts. The exchange with the TYPO3 community is always a highlight – approachable, collegial, and full of ideas.
