1. Where the chat sits

The chat sits in an expandable area that lays itself over the current backend view. It is opened through the floating button available on every backend page. The width can be dragged, and both the size and the open or closed state are remembered per browser.

At the top of the chat you see the selected model, your remaining credit balance and a note about the current write mode. On the right you find the actions menu, which takes you to the changes of this conversation and to the help window, among other things.

2. Tell it which page you mean

ChEddi does not see your screen. Phrases like “this page” or “here” therefore do not reliably identify what you mean. Name the page by its title or its slug instead. If the name fits several pages, ChEddi asks back.

If you have a record open, the chat passes its table and uid along with your message. In that case it does know what you are looking at. Do not rely on it though, name the target when in doubt.

3. One goal per message

One goal per message. Several independent instructions at once make the result harder to follow and the confirmation harder to read.

Some bulk runs are better covered by the AI Suite backend module itself, for instance metadata or translations for a whole page tree, as well as the audits, which can be run there across an entire subtree.

If ChEddi claims it has no tools available, starting a new conversation usually helps.
