Generation of News Metadata (EXT:news)

The AI Suite supports you in generating and revising various SEO metadata. Among other things, you generate or revise the metadata (alternative title and description) in your news records (EXT:news).

1. Where can I find the function?

The news metadata generation can be done as follows:

  1. Switch to the “Records” module (in TYPO3 12: “List”)
  2. Select the appropriate page or folder in the page tree
  3. Switch to the editing mask of the desired news record
  4. Switch to the “Metadata” tab
  5. Click the button next to the field for which you want to generate content

    In the “Records” module, we open an article in the “News” folder and switch to the “Metadata” tab.

2. Structure/Process of Generation

  1. Click the AI button next to the field. A wizard with two steps opens.
  2. In the first step (“Enter metadata generation settings”), you select the AI model. With “Use own prompt”, you can optionally set your own prompt.
  3. Under “News Detail Plugins”, select the detail plugin that outputs the news.
  4. Click “Generate metadata suggestions”.

    We start with the description and choose the model and the news detail plugin. The AI Suite reads the article and suggests several texts.

3. Validate the results / Selection of a proposal

  1. In the second step (“Generated suggestions”), select a suggestion
  2. If the suggestions do not fit, “Regenerate suggestion” takes you back to the first step
  3. Click “Save metadata” to adopt the suggestion into the field
  4. Save the record to apply the changes

    The suggestions are written in the language of the article. We choose one and apply it.

4. View of the selected metadata

After saving, the metadata are in the respective field.
