Translation of Records

With the AI Suite, you translate existing records using various AI models and translation services.

The following section explains the procedure step by step.

1. Where can I find the function?

To access the translation function, follow these steps:

Switch to the “Records” module (in TYPO3 12: “List”)
Select the page/folder containing the record you want to translate
Select the desired target language (flag with the AI Suite icon)

In the “Records” module, we show all languages in the “News” folder. Next to an article that is not translated yet is the flag with the AI Suite icon.

2. Structure of the Translation Process

Choosing a model starts the translation.

3. Validate the results

Check and activate the translation

The AI Suite does not open the translated record automatically. Open it in the list view in the target language, check the translation and then activate the record so that it becomes visible in the frontend.

After the translation, the content is available in the new language. The translated record is created deactivated and you return to the list view.

The English version is created and stays deactivated for now.

In the editing form, we check the translated article.

Fallback is the TYPO3 default behavior

If a problem occurs during the translation, TYPO3 creates the record untranslated in the new language as usual.
